Thin a long clip to every 5th, 30th or 300th frame, counted by real frame index.

Paste times like 00:01:12.5 and get the frame on screen at each one.
Target frame rate
Sample at 1, 2 or 10 per second, frame-true on variable frame rate sources.
Scene changes
One still per shot: frames that differ sharply from the one before.
Codec keyframes
Only the keyframes the encoder stored. Fast on long recordings.
One ZIP. Every still, plus its manifest.
PNG, JPEG or WebP at the original resolution, with a manifest.json recording each frame’s index, time and keyframe flag. Feed it straight to a vision model, a dataset or an edit.
